You Shall Know the Truth

Because we all live in a world filled with lies, opinions and untruths, it’s important that we take responsibility for what enters our minds and shows up in our lives. It is recorded that Jesus said, “You shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free.” Sorting out the lies to uncover the truth of who you are is worth the effort. The rewards are confidence and higher self-esteem. The effect is a life free from self-doubt and insecurity.

Start today by making a different choice. Turn away from thoughts of self-doubt. Refuse to entertain lies in your mind. Replace them with the truth. Here are some affirmative statements that you can use in replacement. Say them aloud each day until you feel the positive shift take place in your self-image. Then write your own.

I am responsible for the quality of my own life because I am in charge of what I think.

My self-worth is determined by the power and presence of God within me, not by the people around me.

I am in charge of my own destiny. I am the captain of my own ship. I choose what enters my mind and my world.

My thoughts are centered and focused in the affirmative. I consciously direct them toward that which I want to see manifest in my life.

I do not allow negative thoughts to take up residence in my mind. I am quickly losing interest in their mindless monkey chatter.

I love myself exactly as I am right now. I do not have to lose weight, get more money, or find a mate before I approve of who I am.
