Allies for Racial Equity

Who We are

We are members of the Center For Spiritual Living Kansas City (CSLKC) community that are learning about racism and its effects on Black lives. We are a safe space to learn, share and grow.

OUR INTENTION

Our intention is to create a safe and sacred space in which to have open discussion.  To have a shared experience in healing racism, to become aware of our own racial biases, to support each other by breaking the silence about racism, and to work toward change. We believe that if we, as white people, want to “create a world that works for everyone”, this is work we must do.

Our Mission Statement

The mission of Allies for Racial Equity (A4RE) is to engage in continuous, intentional, and compassionate work to support and advocate for racial justice. As intersectional allies, we commit to educating ourselves and others on racial issues, particularly those impacting Black Americans and to advocate for all oppressed groups.

We strive to:

Partner with communities and organizations working toward racial equity

Raise awareness about the challenges those communities face

Actively support policies and initiatives that promote justice, quality, and self-determination

We are dedicated to creating safe, open spaces for dialogue, reflection, and action, all while seeking to bring about healing and transformation through both collective effort and spiritual alignment.
