Food Insecurity Assistance

  • Center for Spiritual Living 1014 West 39th Street Kansas City United States (map)

Starting November 1, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits in Missouri and Kansas will not be dispensed. Families are being pushed into food insecurity by circumstances completely outside their control.

In Missouri and Kansas alone, over 800,000 people will not receive SNAP benefits, including families within our CSLKC family.

We are offering resources for those in our community who need assistance with food insecurity due to SNAP benefits stopping or from the government shut down.

Food cards from grocery stores in the KC metro

  • Purchase food cards from area grocery stores and drop them in the “Food Insecurities Donation Box” on the table as you leave the room

  • If you’d like CSL to purchase food cards on your behalf, make a donation on the kiosk in the lobby or place your donation in the donation box on the table as you leave the room. CSL will purchase the food cards for you

  • If you need food insecurity assistance, let either Rev. Mike (mike@cslkc.org) or Jessica Royer (jessica@cslkc.org) know. They will arrange to get the food cards to you. All requests are confidential.

Hunger Relief Partners in Missouri and Kansas

  • Take one of the documents on the table as you leave the room. These are locations around the KC Metro partnering to provide food insecurity assistance
