Centers for Spiritual Living International is continuing the conversation for greater awareness around racial disparity and transformation. This Sacred Circle Series is being offered to our BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) members, family, and friends. We will explore the somatic responses that are held from the traumas of our historical and current day societal experiences.
As these groups sit in sacred circle together in support and discussion, the guiding resource will be My Grandmother’s Hands: Racialized Trauma and the Pathway to Mending Our Hearts and Bodies, by Resmaa Menakem (Central Recovery Press, 2017). Each group will explore together the concepts in the book, their lived experiences, as well as engage some of the suggested exercises individually and collectively.
Thursdays, January 7, 14, 21, 28, February 4, 2021
